Andrew T. Huang, MD
Dr. Andrew T. Huang is an internationally respected oncologist and medical educator who pioneered multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care at Duke University in the 1970s. Returning to Taiwan in 1989, he founded the Koo Foundation Sun Yat-Sen Cancer Center—the nation’s first dedicated cancer hospital—where his integrated model quickly lifted five-year survival rates far above the national average. Over 35 years, Dr. Huang has championed value-based medicine, authored more than 100 scientific works, and consistently argued that hospitals must prioritize outcomes over profit. Now serving as chairman, he continues to guide KFSYSCC’s mission of delivering compassionate, cutting-edge treatment and training the next generation of oncology leaders.

C. Jason Wang, MD, PhD
Dr. Chih-Hung Jason Wang is a pediatrician-scientist and health-policy innovator dedicated to redesigning care systems. A Professor of Pediatrics and Health Policy at Stanford University and Director of the Center for Policy, Outcomes and Prevention, he fuses frontline clinical insight with analytics to drive evidence-based reform. Educated at MIT, Harvard Medical School, and the RAND Graduate School, he has consulted for McKinsey and led Taiwan’s National Health Insurance reform task-force. Wang’s nearly 100 peer-reviewed publications and NIH-funded studies advance telehealth, quality measurement, and child-health equity. He champions data-driven, patient-centered care that rewards value over volume.

KJ Kao, MD, PhD
Dr. Kuo-Jang (KJ) Kao, MD, PhD is a Gainesville, Florida–based hematologist-pathologist and translational scientist . Educated at National Taiwan University College of Medicine (MD 1974) , he earned a PhD in immunology and joined the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1984, rising to Professor of Pathology and Director of the Blood Bank (1984–1994). His investigations into platelet biology, immune tolerance, and cancer biomarkers have generated 123 peer-reviewed publications and more than 4,600 citations. Dr. Kao now serves as Consultant and senior advisor at the Koo Foundation Sun Yat-Sen Cancer Center in Taipei, driving cross-Pacific precision-oncology collaborations.

Patrick Ng, MBA, MPH
Patrick Ng, MBA, MPH is a healthcare strategist and project manager committed to value-driven oncology innovation. Raised in the United States after emigrating from Hong Kong, he holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and MBA / MPH degrees from Boston University. His early career spanned hospital administration, health-policy research, and medical-device start-ups before relocating to Taipei to help launch the New School for Leadership in Healthcare at the Koo Foundation Sun Yat-Sen Cancer Center, where he designs clinician-training programs that prepare leaders for system-level reform. Ng co-authored the influential JAMA viewpoint detailing Taiwan’s big-data COVID-19 strategy and is a health-policy contributor to The News Lens. His current work forges cross-border partnerships that translate evidence into compassionate, high-value cancer care.
